RootsTech 2017 Registration is openHave you been to RootsTech in the past?  Great!  I am going and it is my first time.  I have made my hotel reservations with the RootsTech discount and I have even booked my flight already.  I am arriving on the Monday before because I have a research date with the Family History Center.  I will post my research plans in a later post.

I noticed that yesterday, registration had opened and I am thrilled to be registered for this conference.  Why should you attend RootsTech?  You can see for yourself the reasons why you should attend here.

I noticed a few things on RootsTech’s website.  I noticed that they will have an app this year and that it should be going live sometime in October.  I can’t wait, I love conference apps, they keep me so organized and on time to sessions.  RootsTech will also be streaming some live sessions again this year.  The convention will also have free wifi for the attendees.  The conference sylabus will be available for download prior to the event.  You could also purchase the hardcopy if you want and you can do that during the registration process.

One thing new this year is a Coaches Corner.  It is a place where you get one-on-one help from a professional genealogist with brick walls.  They didn’t have much details but I would guess that there will be appointments to choose from in order to see a professional genealogist.  I, myself, will be taking advantage of this.  I have a few brick walls that I need help with in knocking them down.

So, there is all the news you can use regarding registering for RootsTech 2017.  I’m going, are you?  Let me know if you want to meetup for lunch/coffee/tea at RootsTech.  I hope to see you there!
